After a brief stint working in chartered accountancy, Lee began his career in civils as a Planning Co-Ordinator in the telecoms/utilities industry. He joined Cappagh Construction where he was recognised for his organisational and planning skills, his tenacity and keen eye for detail, spending 7 years as Operations Manager responsible for major projects and contracts such as Thames Water. Never one to stand still for very long, Lee had his eye set on bigger things and in 2006 started his own business. Since the early days of Irvine Utilities where he secured major contracts with the likes of Barhale Construction, Lee’s keen business acumen has seen the business grow substantially through both organic growth and major strategic acquisitions. Lee leads from the front where his passion lies in operations management. Lee is not afraid to get his hands dirty and is happiest at the sharp end. Lee’s expertise is in planning and control, finding solutions to operational issues and leading the teams on the ground. His keen commercial acumen ensures the business is successful, driving it forward to reach its goals.   In rare moments when he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his young family and his other love, golf. Competitive by nature, he is keen to add to his silverware collection and reduce his handicap. His favourite food is Indian, much to the annoyance of the office staff at lunchtime!
